Very cute. They are about the size of the palm of your hand. Nice and strong resin, not plastic.

Kid loves them and they look great, December 28, 2009

If I wanted the Fabrege Egg equivalent of a guitar ornament I'd save up and commission one. Given the price, how cool they look and feel, that they include a blue bass (for me), and that they made the boy's day, I'd say they are perfect. I actually thought they were hand-painted, hand-cut and sanded wood until I read another review stating they are resin. I couldn't tell and I don't care. That they made a kid happy and look good on his tree is all that matters to me. They do feel substantial and I assume they will last many years.

People. One thing you don't know about Metamorpho is that he collects these things. Christmas Tree Ornaments are a very essential and special aspect of the holiday. It's little considerations such as this that will add so much to your enjoyment.
Why, I can remember vividly the collections I've had over the years. There was the Madonna Collection. They were attractive but very unsteady. They had a habit of falling off the tree and rolling around on the floor. Not to mention the 3 Stooges assortment. They seemed like they never stayed on one branch. And, ironically. Moe's eyes were always poked by a stray pine needle. Very curious.
Then, let's not forget the eight reindeer limited edition. It came with the deer (all of them!), a sleigh and Santa. Unfortunately, I must have gotten them in a bad year. When the Philharmonic went on strike, I think the deer did too. Why? Everytime I turned around, Santa was being bopped out of the tree by a stray hoof. They all blamed Rudolph. Jealousy, no doubt.
Anyway, this is a wonderful collection, especially if you have a guitar player in the household. I like the fact that they included different types of guitars here. I play the guitar and my dreadnought acoustic is represented here. As others have said, they are very durable. And the complaint about the paint is very valid. But I wouldn't worry so much. Just don't put them too close to a tree light. Problem solved!
These are very inexpensive and so, before Santa comes with his reindeer, it would behoove you to purchase many of these. Also, in the future, when they release the Rock Star collection, how cool would it be to place Clapton near the electric and Dylan near the acoustic? I tell ya folks, that Metamorpho is always thinking ahead.
Anyway, these are cheap but affordable in today's economic climate. Get them! But remember to change the strings each year.
