After reviewing several different masks for Freddy Kruger, I settled for this mask with various changes, let me detail out what exactly I'm doing, as I'm wearing the mask right now for a test.
1) The mask is a standard latex mask, don't think it's anything super special, being a 3/4 mask, it means the back of the head is open, I opted to solve this issue with makeup and a bald cap wig to cover the back so my hair didn't show.
2)the mask is a bit floppy, some modification was needed for me to use the mask properly, it is affixed to my jawline, chin, nose, forhead and top of my head with Spirit Gum Adhesive.
3) the lips are... interesting, I ended up cutting them out, gluing the top and bottom lips to the spots under my top and bottom lip, then filling out my own lips with makeup.
4)the mask is a bit dull looking, so far as burn patterns and skin coloration, to fix this, a light layer of stage blood is brushed over the entire mask, this gives it a slight 'shine' and darkens the colors, for that 'newly burned' look.
Overall, the product is decent, if you're doing a Freddy Kruger costume, I highly recommend you have the time and patience to do it, as well as a friend who's good with makeup to help, this mask is by far, the best freddy mask for what I'm doing, should you be looking to do the same, and looking for a mask you can affix to your own face with a good range of movement in the mask for a more natural looking freddy costume, this is the mask for you.
