I really wanted to love these, I never thought I would be sending them back since I have other Ash boots that are great. They look really cool with all the zippers and buckles, the leather is of very good quality and I like the Military color. The insoles are nicely cushioned. But, they just don't fit right. I ordered my usual 37 that I wear in Ash shoes (I am a true 6.5 in sandals and 6.5-7 in boots because I wear socks). The length was okay, maybe slightly long. The instep area was very loose on me, but that is not too unusual because I have slim feet, heels and ankles and usually need to put a half insole in my boots. But the worst part was that the heel was so loose that it slipped out with every single step, it was a blister nightmare waiting to happen. I considered ordering a 36.5, but the boots were already a bit tight across the little toes even though I have a slightly narrow foot, I am right between an A and B (medium) width. I hate wearing shoes that squash your feet that way because you will get a dark, ugly bump on your little toes if you do... I call it a little toe bunion (just look at women's feet in sandals, you can instantly tell who was wearing tight or ill-fitting shoes and boots). On top of that, I didn't notice beforehand that the boots are pre-distressed, like they have intentional scuffing on the toe and heel areas. I didn't like that at all, I prefer to break in my own shoes, thank you. It's kind of like pre-distressed jeans, it's so played out grunge-90's (what an awful look that was) and I think it's ridiculous - things get worn looking soon enough on their own, why rush the process? The upside is that the scuffing is pretty subtle if you don't mind it. These might better fit someone with a narrow forefoot and thicker heels/ankles, but they just didn't work for me. I agree with most foot experts, a shoe needs to be comfortable from the get-go and not need "breaking in"; if they're not, you're only asking for trouble. So sadly, I sent them back.

Nice fit - I wear a size 10, and the 40 EU was perfect. This boot is comfortable, and looks great with jeans & similar-type pants. The buckles & zippers make this boot casual & fun.

Just didn't like once in hand and on foot...looks so much better in picture. Only comes on the one color and is not enough boot for cost. Returned!
